FAQs
At Freestyle RVs, we have a team of mechanics who can address a wide range of caravan-related problems, from minor issues to major concerns that need to be resolved as soon as possible.
We handle most types of caravan servicing and repairs, using quality aftermarket parts for any necessary repairs and replacements, so that you can get back out on the road (or off the beaten track) sooner.
Our mechanics provide servicing for all major caravans, including:
It’s important to bring your caravan in for check ups and servicing so that you get the longest life out of it and address any potential issues before they become bigger problems.
Generally, for newer caravans, we’d recommend bringing them into our Melbourne centre for a service after every 7,000 to 10,000 km travelled or after 12 months has passed - whichever occurs first.
If your caravan is an older model and already has a few years and many thousands of kilometres travelled, then you’ll want to increase the frequency with which you bring in your caravan. For older or used caravan models, we’d recommend bringing the caravan in for a service every 5,000 km or every six months - whichever comes first.
Yes, we can. We have a devoted team of mechanics who can handle minor repairs and larger repairs, as well as general caravan check-ups and feature upgrades (depending on your caravan and towing weight parameters).
So, whether you’re noticing that your caravan’s brakes are starting to worsen or you have to bring your caravan in after it sustained more notable damage, our mechanics are here to help.
If any repairs or servicing requires additional assistance from third-party providers, we’ll coordinate with them and you to facilitate the most efficient resolution possible.
A standard caravan service focuses on inspecting and testing all the major systems of the caravan itself. Much like a standard check-up of most vehicles, this includes taking a look at things such as the brakes, wheels, tyres, chassis, lights, and electrical systems.
Our mechanics will also check the plumbing and gas lines of your caravan to ensure there are no leaks and/or damage. If any severe issues are identified, a Freestyle RVs mechanic will be in touch to let you know and provide a breakdown of how much it would cost to resolve the identified problems.
Booking a caravan service through Freestyle RVs is a breeze. Simply fill out the form on this page and provide us with the key details of what you’re wanting addressed (e.g. is it a general check-up or does something specific require attention?). Be sure to include as much information as you can if there’s a specific issue or concern regarding your caravan that needs to be addressed.
If you’d prefer to speak with us directly about your service request, you can contact us online or give us a call at (03) 9069 1400 - we’re happy to chat.
Yes, we do.
hen engaging with Freestyle RVs’ Service Centre, our mechanics guarantee their workmanship for repairs and servicing. So, if an issue arises within the guarantee period after our mechanics have serviced your vehicle and the issue is a result of the service itself, we’ll resolve the issue free of charge.
The same applies to any aftermarket parts we install to your caravan. Many of these parts typically have a 12-month warranty that will cover you if any issues occur within that year-long window. Should any aftermarket part fail or break within that period, we’ll replace it for you under warranty.
If your caravan needs any work done to it that is covered under the manufacturer warranty or through insurance, we can also help in this regard. To get started with this service, simply fill out a warranty work enquiry.
